Yes — fully. bud is offline-first. Every feature works without an internet connection: creating accounts, recording transactions, building budgets, tracking goals. Sync is optional and is the only feature that requires the internet.

bud is free to download, and cloud sync across your devices is included at no cost. An optional Premium subscription unlocks unlimited accounts, categories and goals, detailed statistics and charts, and full CSV import & export. The current Premium price is shown inside the App Store or Google Play before you confirm, and you can cancel anytime.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel through them: on iOS, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → bud → Cancel; on Android, Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → bud → Cancel.

No. bud is a manual tracking tool. There is no bank login, no Plaid, no Open Banking, no screen-scraping. You enter transactions yourself, and your bank credentials never touch our servers.

On your device, data lives in an encrypted local database (SQLite via Drift). When sync is enabled, data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ and stored in Supabase with row-level security policies that restrict access to your authenticated account only.

Yes. Settings → Export gives you a CSV of all your transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and goals. We recommend exporting periodically as a personal backup.

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or by email at privacy@bud.digitau.eu. Live data is purged immediately; encrypted backups within 30 days. See the dedicated page at /delete-account.
